Charlyn Balolo: MY REFLECTION
According to Renate and George Caine (1991), “Learning is Developmental”.
I strongly agree to this statement by saying that since I’d take this subject, ED103 (Assessment for Learning), I had learned lot of things that future teachers must know.
With her effort and patience, Dr. Ava Clare Marie O. Robles taught us how to make blogs in internet and conduct research/survey for our future use. We had so much fun during the survey, though there were some difficulties like expenses, effort and tiredness, but at least, we had experience already the things that students who already conducted their thesis had done.
For the reportorial, it seems that Ma`am Robles put an emphasis on the format of our PowerPoint and handouts, and maybe some of us taught that she is “strict” on that, but I realized that it is for our own sake: for us future teachers. Discipline must be the first principle that teachers must and shall have.
We also learned how to rate each reporters according to their performance and because of this, we must pay attention to the reporters, and our listening skills was developed.
When it comes to our module, I had learned different types of test. There were the multiple choice test, the True-false test, Matching type and others.
It is indeed true that the future of the students lie on how the teacher conducts a test. Each test must be in its correct format. On my topic, I had learned the different types of multiple-choice test and its checklist on how the teacher must write it.
For what we will be in the future, we owe it all from you, Ma’am Robles, for without you as our stepping stone, we were nothing.
